Wrap up!

What a day!
Japan was absolutely everything i thought it would be. Friendly folks. It just felt like a never ending chinatown. You know those chinatowns that appear out of nowhere? it was like that. except overseas and for real.

Beth wanted to see where they filmed that Ben Affleck movie "pearl harbor" but unfortunetley we did not get a chance to go.

All in all 3 chop sticks out of 4!

Finally got to eat some sushi on the plane!

I ate so much American food in Japan i just got sick of it and decided to get some Air Japan Sushi. Luckily the menu was right above me

Flight leaving!

Leaving Japan Now. View outside the window. The pilot said if we look below we can see the great lakes. too bad it was so cloudy :-(

Manns Chineese Theater- THE ORIGINAL!

Standing outside Manns Chineese theater about to see Fried Green Tomatoes/Short Circuit 2 double feature. The other gentlemen in the picture is Doug from Montana. Its nice to see a familiar american face to ask for directions! The show was great! I dropped X before hand

Beth met the prime minister of Japan at Dennys

It was a cold night so beth had to wear a ski hat. This Dennys was formal wear only though so its kind of an odd mix. The prime minister was there!

Trying to take a pic of us in front of the bus that took us to the great wall!

Beth and I arrived at the great wall after falling asleep most of the trip (thats why i look so tired) We did not feel like asking for someone to take a picture of us so we decided to take a pic of our heads in front of the chineese express bus that dropped us off right in FRONT of the great wall! Notice our tour guide "Chi Lee" waving in the background on the bus. He was such a delight!

LUNCH!

The great wall!

The great wall was amazing

200 mile bus ride

The next day we took a 200 mile bus ride to go see the great wall before sunset. My seat had one itty bitty window.

Party time!

There was a free kegger at the long ding dong inn on 8th ave. Beth and i definitely painted the town red this night. Egg rolls and Saki dont mix!

Dinner time!

Dinner was delicious. They had English translation cards thank goodness. Not too pricey either. They dont accept tips.

Downtown Tokyo

we stayed in Tokyo and went sightseeing. Such an amazing culture shock

At the hotel

It was interesting washing your hands like thier culture does. They dont believe in free standing sinks. It was humbling. Dinner next!
